My first camera was a Kodak disc camera. My parents gave it to me before I went to camp in the North Carolina mountains. I loved photography instantly and really liked taking photos when we were out camping and hiking the appalachian mountains.
Then I moved to Atlanta and didn't take any photographs again until I went to college at the University of Arizona. I had to pick an elective, and photojournalism was my pick. Again, I was hooked. We learned how to develop film, and how to print in the darkroom. Professor Greer was a great teacher, he made it fun. I then took as many photography classes as I could and spent hours in the darkroom learning to print.
After college, I moved to LA and worked for the top commercial photographers in the country. The experience was monumental to developing my style. I had enough of LA in 2007 and moved to Telluride until 2010. I now reside in Atlanta, please contact me to set up a showing.
